Setting boundaries is a form of self-care. It helps to create clear guidelines/rules/limits of how you would like to be treated. Letting others know what is and what is not okay/acceptable. It honors our needs and wants so that we feel respected and safe.
What does Setting Boundaries look like?
Setting boundaries is about defining what is and isn’t acceptable in your relationships with others. It involves knowing what you want and using an assertive communicating style to clearly express it to others. It also means being able to say “no” when you need to and being able to enforce consequences when someone crosses a boundary that you have set.
What is Wellness?
Wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to attain better physical and mental health outcomes, so that instead of just surviving, you’re thriving. Some of these habits are social connectedness, exercise, nutrition, sleep, mindfulness and more.
